In the case of a legal person, in Slovakia, an ultimate beneficial owner is each natural person who effectively manages or controls the legal person as well as each natural person on whose behalf the legal person performs their business activities. An ultimate beneficial owner is a natural person who:
- owns a direct or indirect share or the total amount of 25 % of voting rights within a legal person or its capital;
- has the right to appoint, otherwise determine or dismiss a statutory body, managing authority, supervisory authority or inspection body of a legal person or any of its members;
- manages a legal person in any other way than mentioned above;
- has the right to an economic benefit acquired from business or other activities of a legal person of at least 25%.
