In Slovakia, the public register of data on public sector partners is managed by the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic.
Public sector partners comprise, among others, natural persons, natural persons – entrepreneurs and legal persons who receive payments by the State, authorities and other public sector subjects, payments or property exceeding the limit defined by the law or a person concluding a contract, framework agreement or concession agreement, pursuant to regulations on public procurement (with regard to financial limits).
The objective of the register is to publish ultimate beneficial owners of public sector partners.
Public sector partners do not register themselves, however, they can be registered only by authorised persons such as notaries, attorneys, banks, auditors and others.
There is a similar register in the Czech Republic – Evidence údajů o skutečných majitelích (Register of data on beneficial owners).
